I made these shoes to auction off at Animazement in 2010. I'd never painted on shoes before, but I'm really happy with how they turned out. It was definitely a learning process, but it was super fun. :)
Details: Painted on canvas shoes, I used acrylic paints and a high quality sealant so they can withstand normal wear and tear. They haven't been tested being washed or being trampled thought mud though, so while light, hand cleaning is fine I'm not sure how well they'd fare in, say, a washing machine, or how well major stains like mud would come off.
Price to remake: $20 + price of the base shoe. It may seem like a lot, but the price of the sealant alone is $20 a bottle, so $20 for time, labour and art supplies is really the lowest I feel I can go. Sorry!
